Blossom + Ash is a luxury floral design studio, specialising in wedding and event flowers. Based in Co. Durham, we predominantly work across the north of England in Newcastle, Durham, Northumberland, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. We do however love the chance to travel a little further afield, so please do get in touch if you would like to work with us.  

A floral workshop in 2019 started the Blossom + Ash story where a love for flowers turned into a full blown obsession. Owner and founder Hannah trained in the beautiful Lake District, inspired by nature and weekends spent roaming art galleries our designs have a whimsical romantic influence.

We’re committed to lowering our environmental impact through sustainable practices such as never using floral foam (a toxic single use plastic). Instead using mix of traditional and innovative techniques to bring our installations to life, we believe beautiful floral design shouldn’t harm the earth.

MEET HANNAH

I wasn’t always destined for a career as a wedding florist and actually have a Chemical Engineering degree but I soon realised it wasn’t for me when the only projects I enjoyed were ones where I got to be creative (think hand-painting a report onto a T-shirt or creating a stop motion lego video). It did however give me some pretty great project management skills!

Outside of flowers I’m happiest when eating (often the basis for trips I’m planning) or doing some sort of adrenaline activity (skydiving and diving with sharks in Fiji are definite life highlights!).

I’m also a huge fan of any time you get to gather all of the people you love together and celebrate. So going into the world of weddings and events felt like the perfect fit. It really is the biggest privilege that couples choose me to be a part of their day.
